Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Bandung – The Chief of Indonesian National Police (INP) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo emphasized to Bareskrim Polri (Indonesian National Police Investigation and Criminal Agency) and their ranks to strive with all their might to gain public trust in the Bhayangkara Corps (INP).

This is because regaining this positive trend it will greatly impact the success of the INP ranks in carrying out their main duties.

"So, like it or not, we have to fight, and all of this has to be done by all the work units and functions in the police. So that all of this can strengthen. Because whatever public trust is is absolute, it's a fixed price that we have to fight for," said General Listyo Sigit at the Technical Work Meeting (Rakernis) in Bandung, West Java, Wednesday (15/3/2023).

General Listyo Sigit explicitly asked Bareskrim Polri personnel to make improvements to the service culture. Starting from receiving public reports, and the investigation process to the settlement of cases. At the time of receiving the report, the ranks of detectives are expected to be able to hear what the public is complaining about. Then, provide good education to all people in terms of completeness of reporting files and others. Meanwhile, in the investigation process, the ranks of Bareskrim Polri must have independence and be able to dig up events according to facts and carry out investigations using the Scientific Crime Investigation (SCI) method.

"Regarding the settlement of cases, of course not all cases handled can be resolved immediately. However, when it is not completed because of the process or maybe it is not a criminal case or because there is insufficient evidence, this can be communicated, so that the person who reports does not experience difficulties because there is communication blockage," said General Listyo Sigit.

General Sigit reminded that the ranks of the police must carry out their duties professionally and avoid actions that have the potential to damage the image of the Bhayangkara Corps, things that hurt the public's sense of justice and have a sense of crisis.

"So, we must implement this in the future. Then for matters that are of public concern, which hurt the public's sense of justice, strictly enforce the law. So that the public sees that the INP, especially the ranks of Bareskkrim are professional, we are humane but at times firm and also able to We must avoid negative things, deviant behavior as much as possible," concluded General Listyo Sigit.
