Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Chief of Central Java Regional Police has made a decision to dishonorably discharge (PTDH) five police officers who were strongly suspected of being involved in corruption, collusion, and nepotism during the 2022 recruitment process for the non-commissioned officers of Indonesian National Police (INP).

The decision was made after the five officers, identified as Police Assistant Superintendent AR, Police Assistant Superintendent KN, Police Senior Inspector CS, Police Senior Brigadier Z, and Police Brigadier EW, were undergoing a criminal investigation conducted by the Directorate of Special Crime Investigation of the Central Java Regional Police.

In an official statement on Monday (20/3/23), Police Senior Superintendent M. Iqbal Alqudusy, the Head of the Public Relations Division of the Central Java Regional Police, said that the PTDH punishment will be imposed soon after the trial.

“The Chief of Central Java Regional Police Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi will lead a trial and impose PTDH punishment on the five personnel,” he said.

He said that the investigation is being conducted alternately between ethical and criminal investigations. and the investigators are handling the case professionally and carefully.

The disciplinary sanctions and ethical violations do not eliminate the demand for criminal charges against the officers in question, under Article 12 paragraph (1) of Government Regulation No. 2/2003 and Article 28 paragraph (2) of Perkapolri 14/201, he explained.

He emphasized that the recruitment process of police officers upholds the principles of cleanliness, transparency, accountability, and humanity (BETAH). Anyone found to have engaged in fraudulent practices during the recruitment process will face severe consequences.

“We appreciate the efforts of the Profession and Internal Affairs Division of INP in upholding the honor of the INP. This incident serves as a reflection to further tighten the implementation and socialization of the recruitment process in the Central Java Regional Police,” he concluded.
