Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jayapura. Susi Air pilot Philip Mehrtens who has been held captive by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) for nearly three months reportedly in good condition, the Head of Peace Cartenz Operation Task Force Police Senior Superintendent Danny Charles Go confirmed.
“The Indonesian Military and Indonesian National Police’s joint analysis revealed that he is still alive and in good condition,” he said on Wednesday (26/4/23).
The analysis was based on a video made by the pilot himself while he was still in captivity. The same video also revealed that he had requested Indonesian forces to attack KKB with bombs.
“We do not use bombs when carrying out operations in the field, and we continue to prioritize a persuasive approach to ensure the pilot’s safe release in good condition,” he said.
