Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Indonesian Military Commander Admiral Yudo Margono confirmed that the pilot of the Susi Air plane, which was burned by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB), had fled from the plane. He added that no one was taken hostage in the incident.

“(He) fled,” he said during the Indonesian Military-INP Leadership Meeting in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/2/23).

He pointed out that the Paro area where the incident took place has been considered a conflict-free zone and therefore does not have military or police facilities. However, he acknowledged that disturbances caused by the KKB have become increasingly frequent in the area.

He stated that the evacuation of 15 workers from a community health center who had been evacuated should have been done with the plane. They had been evacuated from Mimika due to a KKB attack.

“They were supposed to be transported using that (plane), but it turned out to be burned,” he said.
