Head of Public Information Bureau of Police Public Affairs Division of Indonesia National Police, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, mentioned pandemic has indeed made the situation and conditions very difficult. On that basis, this should not be exacerbated by the behavior of individuals who are making the situation worsening.
Indonesia National Police will take firm action against irresponsible behavior in difficult situation like this," Rusdi said in his statement, Tuesday (07/06/2021).
In addition, Rusdi said his party would also take strict action against health protocol violators, hoarders or drug sellers with prices above the highest retail price (HET).
"Don't speculate on this current difficult situation. Police will take firm action against any behavior that harms the community for personal gain," Rusdi said.
Head of Public Information Bureau ensured police would continue to monitor all movements related to Covid-19 pandemic, including about the scarcity of drugs and oxygen cylinders.
“Indonesia National Police carries out intensive detection activities on various information and issues that are developing in community and surely prepares anticipatory steps. Of course Indonesia National Police concerns on how these issues can be handled," Head of Public Information Bureau said.
