Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Chief of Indonesian National Police (INP) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo provided humanitarian aid to the Islamic Union (PERSIS) across Jakarta, Banten, and West Java by distributing as many as 30,000 packages of basic necessities.

The packages included 5,500 packages in Jakarta, 3,000 packages in Banten, and 21,500 packages to eight locations in West Java.

The Head of Public Relations Division of INP Inspector General Sandi Nugroho said that the packages were transported from the INP Logistics Warehouse in Cipinang, East Jakarta, to PERSIS in respective areas.

“As many as 60 trucks carrying 30,000 packages of basic necessities from the Police Logistics Warehouse and escorted by the Highway Patrol Unit (PJR),” he said in a written statement on Monday (10/4/23).

To ensure the smooth distribution, each truck was accompanied by two Police Logistics personnel to coordinate with the PERSIS officials in each area, he added.

“The aid from the Chief of INP is anticipated to ease the burden on PERSIS members during Ramadan, and the aid will continue to be distributed to individuals in need affected by the unstable prices of basic necessities,” he concluded.
