South Sulawesi Sends Hundreds of Food Supplies to Biringkayana and Manggala Flood Victims

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Makassar. South Sulawesi Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Nana Sudjana, visited the evacuation post for flood victims in Biringkanaya District, Makassar City, on Monday (11/21) afternoon.

The Regional Police Chief directly saw the condition of the refugees at the Al-Ikhlas Mosque in the Grand Rahmani Residence complex, Paccerakang, Biringkanaya District.

During his visit, he also took the time to greet and chat with several residents who had been evacuated in the last three days.

Also on that occasion, the two-star general distributed several food packages at the evacuation post. After that, the group then went to the evacuation post in Manggala District.

In Manggala district evacuation post, the police chief also greet and chat with the evacuated flood victims.

Apart from that, the former North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief also took the time to see the public kitchen and greet the volunteers.

"Today we are sending 500 food packages for flood victims in Makassar City," said the South Sulawesi Regional Police Chief as quoted by Tribunnews.com.

He hopes that with the aids can ease the burden on the refugees. "This is part of our concern to the community and also part of the Police Chief program. Hopefully this assistance can reduce their burden," said the Police Chief.
