Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Cikande.  The Cikande Police arrested a barber with the initials of TA (48) who was suspected of sexually abused a 10-year-old child. The perpetrator, from Koncang Village, Cipeucang District, was secured after being reported by residents on Saturday (11/19).

"The sexual abuse incident occurred on Monday, November 14, when the boy, IR, was asked by his parents OM (46) to cut his hair near his house," explained Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Serang Police, AKP Dedi Mirza, as reported by trustmedia.id, Sunday (11/20).

AKP. Dedi Mirza explained, when shaving the victim's hair, the boy was persuaded to satisfy the perpetrator's lust by offering him with cigarettes and money. "The perpetrator seduced the victim with cigarettes and money if he complied with all his wishes," said AKP Deddy Mirza.

A few days later, when the boy's parents were shaving their hair at a neighbor's place, they got the news that their child was not shaving his hair at that neighbor’s place.

"Because of suspicions, the parents asked what had happened to his boy. The boy innocently told the obscene acts that were committed by the barber, "explained the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Serang Police.

After hearing what had happened to their child, the parents and several of their neighbors immediately searched the house of the barber, but they could not find what they were looking for.

"On Saturday (20/11) at around 11:00 p.m., the reported party was successfully secured in a housing complex in Cikande District by local community. The reported party was then taken to the Cikande Police, but the handling of the case was taken over by the Serang Police PPA Unit," he explained.

For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 82 paragraph (1) of Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
