Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Padang. Deputy Chief of Indonesian National Police, Police Commissioner General Gatot Eddy Pramono, provided 460 packages of social assistance (bansos) for West Sumatera people during his visit.
"In addition to having released social assistance from Indonesia National Police, I also visited isolation sites in two places and distributed aid to community affected by the pandemic," Deputy Chief of Indonesia National Police explained.
Deputy Chief of Indonesia National Police said his visit to West Sumatra was also to see West Sumatera Regional Police and their staffs in effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 by disciplining the public to comply with health protocols.
"We see whether the level of Covid-19 spread rises or falls, and what steps have been taken by West Sumatera Regional Police together with relevant agencies," Deputy Chief of Indonesia National Police explained.
Hundreds packages of social assistance were distributed through West Sumatera Regional Police personnel, as well as Community Police Officer and Village Leadership NCO in Padang City.
Head of Public Affairs of West Sumatera Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Satake Bayu Setianto said, from January 2021 to August 3, 2021, West Sumatera Regional Police and their staffs have distributed thousands of social assistance packages to communities affected by Covid-19.
"We (police) have distributed 13,707 packages of social assistance in the form of nine-basic-needs and rice for people in need and those who are economically affected," Head of Public Affairs of West Sumatera Regional Police explained.
Furthermore, his party has also provided Covid-19 vaccine services to thousands of people in West Sumatera.
