Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Manokwari. Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of West Papua Regional Police arrested suspected perpetrator initialled R (24). The person was detained due to alleged forgery of the antigen test result letters.
The perpetrator was arrested by the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of West Papua Regional Police at Yos Sudarso Pasar Sanggeng street, Sanggeng subdistrict, Manokwari Barat district, Manokwari regency, Thursday (15/07/21).
"The perpetrator is now detained at the West Papua Regional Police Headquarter to take responsibility for his action before the law", Director of General Criminal Investigation of West Papua Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Ilham Saparona.
The arrest was based on public information about the forgery practice of the antigen test result. From the report, the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of West Papua Regional Police then went to the crime scene and arrested the perpetrator.
"He was arrested on the crime scene without a fight. Police seized evidence such as one laptop, one printer, one black-and-red stamp with laboratories logo, and another one black-and-red stamp with drugstore's and Indonesian Doctors Association logo", Police Grand Commissioner Ilham Saparona said.
The perpetrator forged the letter to seek profit and fulfil daily living expenses.
"The perpetrator forged the letter using the motives of seeking profits and fulfilling daily necessities", the Middle Officer of West Papua Regional Police said.
The suspect is subjected to Article 263 paragraph 1 of the Indonesian Criminal Code, in conjunction with Article 268 paragraph 1 of the Indonesian Criminal Code. The perpetrator is threatened by a six-year maximum in prison.
