West Papua Deputy Police Chief urges the public not to easily believe hoax information related to the Covid-19 vaccine

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Manokwari. West Papua Deputy Chief of Police, Brigadier General Pol. Patrige R. Renwarin, appealed to the public not to easily believe rumors or hoaxes related to the COVID-19 vaccine.

This appeal was conveyed directly by the Deputy Chief of the West Papua Police during the Vaccination and Social Service Movement activity in the context of 30 years of service for the alumni of the Armed Forces Academy, Battalion 91 Bhara Daksa which took place at Indonesian Christian Churches (GKI) Pertus Amban, Manokwari, Saturday (08/14/21).

Police Brigadier General. Patrige R. Renwarin, said that the Covid-19 vaccine aims to form community immunity or herd commonity against the Covid-19 virus in West Papua Province, especially the people of Manokwari.

The vaccination, which started at 08.00 AM, received a positive response from the community, where a total of 529 people participated. A total of vaccine doses of 1 were given to 284 peoples, consisting of 8 Astrazenecas and 276 Sinovacs, while the second dose of vaccine was for 245 as Astrazenecas nil and Sinovac in total of 245 peoples.

In the same place, the Head of Public Relations of West Papua Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Adam Erwindi confirmed that there was a vaccination strike and the distribution of 600 packages of precision staples at the GKI Petrus Amban.

The Head of Public Relations of West Papua Police said that this activity was organized by alumni of the 91st Military Academy in Pabar led by the Deputy Chief of the Pabar Police Brigadier General Pol. Patrige R. Renwarin, with the aim of breaking the chain of the spread of the Covid-19 virus and helping ease the community's economy.

Police Grand Commissioner Adam Erwindi invites the public to follow what was conveyed by the Deputy Chief of West Papua Regiona Police Brigadier General Pol. Patrige R. Renwarin, so as not to be afraid of vaccines.

"Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, let's all take part in the vaccine so that we are protected from this Covid-19 virus. I'll take care of you, I'll take care of you, we'll both keep Pabar safe from this pandemic outbreak, greetings of health, greetings of precision," concluded the West Papua Regional Police Intermediate Officer.
