West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief: Emergency Community Activity Restrictions to Save People

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Mataram. The implementation of Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in Mataram City is closely monitored by the National Armed Forces and National Police. West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police, Pol. Inspector General Muhammad Iqbal together with Commander of Regional Military 162/WB Brigadier General Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani and Regional Leadership Coordination Forum of Mataram City directly observed the implementation of Emergency Community Activity Restrictions which began Monday (07/12/21).

Monitoring of the isolation post at the entrance to Mataram City in the Mataram Metro Monument area in Jempong; Bank Mandiri Cakranegara office; and fast food restaurants McDonalds and Pizza Hut.

"We will monitor whether the emergency Community Activity Restrictions has been implemented or not," explained Pol. Inspector General Muhammad Iqbal.

The National Armed Forces and National Service serve as a support system in the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions. The goal is to suppress the spread of Covid-19 in Mataram.

"In implementing this emergency Community Activty Restrictions, we must act decisively. But it's still done humanely," explained the Two-Star General.

The central government has determined Mataram City to be one of the regions implementing Emergency Community Activity Restrictions outside Java and Bali. Society must obey with it. People are asked to be patient. Comply with all emergency Community Activity Restrictions rules. "This is enforced to save the community," he said.

People who do not obey with Emergency Community Activty Restrictions can get administrative and criminal sanctions. Violators can be criminally charged under the Territorial Quarantine Act
