Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Bandung. The government has officially established Emergency Public Activity Limitation Enforcement (Emergency PPKM) for Java and Bali island, which in effect for two weeks from July 3 to July 20, 2021.
The policy has been addressed by President Joko Widodo at the Independence Palace, Jakarta, on Thursday, July 1, 2021.
Through the Emergency PPKM policy, the regional governments affected are asked to supervise the tightening of public activity enforcement tightly.
In related matters, West Java Regional Police will tighten up public mobility during the Emergency PPKM enforcement.
Chief of West Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Ahmad Dofri, said that the insulation efforts are started from the closures of several roads every day during the Emergency PPKM enforcement.
"Previously, we have closed several roads every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It will not only on weekends for the next two weeks," Police Inspector General Ahmad Dofri said.
Police and the Regional Leaders Communication Forum will limit the public not to gather in the city centres.
"We have many insulation posts. For example, in Bandung city, we have it at the city centre such as Braga road, Alun-Alun (city square), up to the Third Ring of the city such as toll gates", the two-star general said.
In addition, the Chief of West Java Regional Police appeals to the department stores, malls, cafes, and restaurants to obey the operational regulations so that people could limit their mobility.
"So the regulation would automatically reduce public mobility because of the store's closures. That is what we are hoping for", Police Inspector General Ahmad Dofri concludes.
