Welcoming the 75th Bhayangkara Day, West Sumatra Police Distributes 5,000 Social Assistance Packages

Welcoming the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of Bhayangkara in 2021, the Indonesian National Police held a social service for the community in the form of social assistance for the Indonesian National Police simultaneously in all Regional Police in Indonesia.

For the West Sumatra Regional Police, 5,000 packages of social assistance have been distributed which will later be distributed in the West Sumatra Province through the Police and the Indonesian Armed Forces. The release of thousands of social assistance packages was released by the Deputy Governor of West Sumatra, Audy Joinaldy, together with the West Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Toni Harmanto, Regional Leader Communication Forum West Sumatra, West Sumatra Deputy Police Chief Brigadier General Pol. Edi Mardianto, and the High-rank Officials of the West Sumatra Police, Friday (25/6) at the West Sumatra Police Field.

Initially, the Regional Police Chief and the West Sumatra Forkopimda symbolically handed over the social assistance for the Police to representatives of the people of Padang City. The police chief said that the social assistance provided to the community was in the form of basic necessities (sembako).

"To share with those (communities) who are affected by Covid-19. And of course the activities also have an economic impact where we must also help the community's economic growth," explained the West Sumatra Police Chief.

For now, the assistance package is 5,000 packages, but said the Regional Police Chief, his party is still continuing to provide additional amounts of the social assistance packages to the community. "God willing, it will continue to grow, yes, we will collect from those who sympathise with us for distribution," he said.

"Hopefully it can help our brothers, the poor, orphans and those in need," added the West Sumatra Police Chief.
