JAKARTA— Commander of the Armed Forces, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, with the Chief of Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, visiting Emergency PPKM (Public Activity Restriction Enforcement) command post in Turangga subdistrict, Lengkong, Bandung, West Java, on Friday (16/7/2021).
Chief of Police said that, in his visit with the Armed Forces Commander, they want to directly know what people need the most during the Emergency PPKM. "We directly check to map and recognise what the people need the most. We have checked several places, and this policy severely affected the economy, " the Chief of Police said during his visit.
Chief of Police then instructs their personnel to quickly distributes the government's social care packages to the people.
The former Chief of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Indonesian National Police also asked the public to obey Health protocols by wearing a face mask. According to the Chief of Police, the restricted mobilities and activities due to the Emergency PPKM is an effort to keep people safe from the Covid-19 exposure. "Please stay healthy and wear a face mask because those are important as the key to avoid transmission", he said.
The former Chief of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Indonesian National Police also encourages everyone to get vaccinated to accelerate herd immunity. Therefore, he instructs his personnel to accelerate mass vaccination by expanding its locations. "Let us together reach the herd immunity to achieve economic recovery", he said.
On the same occasion, Commander of the Armed Forces, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, ensures that medicine and vitamin packages for the self-isolating residents would be on target. "(We are checking to ensure) whether the storage is according to standards and according to the register, and whether storage and flow of the medicines/vitamins are properly distributed", Armed Forces Commander said.
