Using Mass Vaccination, Chief of Police Targeted 1,258,566 People Vaccinated Today

Chief of Police, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, delivered Police's effort to reach the government's target to create herd immunity by vaccinating at least 70% of the population. The government determined 181 million out of 270 million Indonesian as the minimum target of vaccination.

To reach the said target, the government aims at one million vaccination per day. However, until today, the government only managed to get 700,000 people vaccinated per day.

"Therefore, to reach one million vaccinated people per day, we need to accelerate vaccination programme with proper organising", Chief of Police said when accompanied President Jokowi on visiting mass vaccination site at Bhayangkara Court, South Jakarta, on Saturday (26/6/2021).

In the context of 75th Bhayangkara Day, themed "Presisi Police Transformation in Supporting Acceleration of Covid-19 Handling for Healthy People and National Economic Recovery towards Advanced Indonesia", the Police, Armed Forces, and Regional Governments held simultaneous mass vaccination event today.

The mass vaccination event, Chief of Police said, is conducted in 4,838 sites such as compounds of Regional, Departmental, and Sectoral Police, sports hall, stadium, bus terminal, regency/city's main square, regency/city's pavilions, village hall, public health centres, district administration office, and parking area of malls and hotels throughout the country.

"We involved 54,482 vaccinators, with 1,258,556 people are targeted to be vaccinated", the Chief of Police said.

The 1,258,556 people vaccinated today is an accumulation of vaccination held in places as follows: Indonesian National Police Headquarter with 7,500 people; Greater Jakarta Region with 225,000 people; Banten Regional Police with 42,662 people; West Java Regional Police with 178,643 people; Central Java Regional Police with North Sumatra Regional Police with 65,750 people141,043 people; East Java Regional Police with 117,994 people; Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police with 48,517 people; Banten Regional Police with 42,662 people.

South Sulawesi Regional Police with 39,044 people; South Sumatra Regional Police with 241,000 people; Lampung Regional Police with 33,198 people; Aceh Regional Police with 28,884 people; Riau Regional Police with 32,000 people; West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police with 152,385 people; East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police with 27,796 people; West Sumatra Regional Police with 25,109 people; West Kalimantan Regional Police with 21,000 people; South Kalimantan Regional Police with 18,396 people; Papua Regional Police with 15,579 people.

Then Jambi Regional Police with 14,589 people; East Kalimantan Regional Police with 14,104 people; Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police with 13,375 people; Central Sulawesi with 13,350 people; Yogyakarta Special Region Regional Police with 12,996 people; Central Kalimantan Regional Police with 11,117 people; North Sulawesi Regional Police with 9,777 people; West Sulawesi Regional Police with 5,312 people; Bali Regional Police with 12,500 people; Bengkulu Regional Police with 14,793 people; Maluku Regional Police with 8,622 people; Riau Islands Regional Police with 7,917 people; North Maluku Regional Police with 5,400 people; Bangka Belitung Islands Regional Police with 4,375 people; Gorontalo Regional Police with 4,298 people; West Papua Regional Police with 4,275 people; and North Kalimantan Regional Police with 2,025 people.
