The Disaster Victim Identification Identified 159 Bodies of Cianjur Earthquake Victims

The National Police's Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team managed to identify 159 bodies of victims of the Cianjur earthquake. Of the 169 bodies, the remaining 10 are still in the identification process.

"We got data on 159 identified bodies from two hospitals, Sayang Hospital and Cimacan Hospital. Apart from the two hospitals, there are also from the Cugenang Community Health Center," explained the spokesperson for the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Commissioner Erdi Adriulan Chaniago, Friday (12/2).

Commissioner Erdi Adrimulan Chaniago, said of a total of 159 bodies, 139 were identified at Sayang Hospital, 14 at Cimacan Hospital, and six at Cugenang Health Center.

"Currently an examination of the remaining bodies (10 bodies) is being carried out. Please pray that (all) the bodies could be identified soon," explained Kombes Erdi.

The former Head of Public Relations of the West Java Regional Police appealed to residents to report to the authorities if they still have a missing family member or relative at the Sayang Hospital and brings the victim's data.
