Joint Resuce Team Found Five Missing Persons During Their Search in Cijedil

Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Cianjur.  In the search of the missing in Cianjur, police able to found five bodies. This findings was then revealed by the Head of National Police Public Relations, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, and explained that those five were found after the police and National Search and Rescue Agency deployed their K9 Bloodhounds to search the missing victims at Cijedil Village.

The Inspector General continued that among those five, two are the mother and her kid who hugged eached other before getting buried by a landslide at Cijedil Village.

“Two of the five victims are the mother and her child who are hugging each other when the team found them,” he said in his official statement at Cianjur, Friday (11/25).

Moreover, he revealed that the evacuation process of the five is difficult due to the difficult terrains.

The five bodies were found on Friday (11/25), and immediately sent to Sayang Cianjur Hospital for further identification process.

He affirmed that joint rescue team will continue to search the missing persons and evacuate all the victims.

It was reported that Cugenang region is the worst affected region due to the landslide caused by the earthquake. There are many missing people from those region.

According to the data from National Board for Disaster Management, it was recorded there are 272 dead victims after the team found a body of Nining (64). Of those 272, 165 have been identified.
