The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police have prepared 13 vehicle blocking points at the World Superbike 2021 Mandalika event, held on 19-21 November 2021 at the Mandalika Circuit, Central Lombok Regency. These isolation points are prepared in the form of posts in several areas around the area and the route to the Mandalika Circuit area.
West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police's Directorate of Traffic Security, Pol. Grand Commissioner Djoni Widodo said this preparation was part of the police'spolice's efforts to support the smooth running of the international motorcycle racing event.
"We have prepared 13 blocking points. So those who want to enter but don't have tickets, we will direct them to turn back," explained the Director of Traffic Security.
The Director of Traffic Security added that the blocking posts are located on Jalan Raya Kuta, Jalan Wisata Kuta Beach, Jalan Raya Sengkol, Jalan Mandalika Putri Nyale, and Jalan BIL-Mandalika Bypass. The target of members who guard at the isolation post is to prevent vehicles from parking carelessly outside the available parking area.
"So private vehicles that park haphazardly will be towed," said the Director of Traffic Security.
Likewise, with anticipating traffic accidents. The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police emphasized that their members who served at the isolation post were to pay attention to the vulnerability.
"There are several blocking posts to regulate the movement of people. The location is at the vehicle parking node with the circuit area. The police divide the area into several zones, namely the western zone, the middle zone, and the eastern zone," said the Directorate of Traffic Security.
Setting this parking area as a traffic engineering step. The transfer of spectators is diverted from private vehicles or public transportation between nodes using a shuttle bus. This shuttle bus connects the interlining central parking.
"Starting from the parking area, there will be a partition. Then, in each z, one, there is a partition. Later, spectators who have tickets will be given a bracelet. Then they enter the circuit area with the buses that have been provided," explained the Directorate of Traffic Security.
However, the Directorate of Traffic Security said there are exceptions for local communities. Later, they are allowed to be at the location, but the condition is that they show their ID cards.
