Supporting One Million Vaccination Program, West Kalimantan Regional Police Held Covid-19 Vaccination at Class II A Potianak Correctional Institution (Prison)

Tribratanews.polri.go.id- Pontianak. West Kalimantan Regional Police held Covid-19 Vaccination for employees and families of the Class II A Pontianak Correctional Institution (Lapas) on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.

This vaccination was carried out at Pontianak Class II A Prison, as way to accelerate the handling of Covid-19 as well as a series to welcome the 75th Bhayangkara Day.

Head of Public Affairs of West Kalimantan Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Donny Charles Go, explained 250 joined the vaccination. They are employees and families of the Class II A Pontianak Correctional Institution.

"Of the 250 people, 100 of them are from the ranks of Pontianak Class II A Prison and 50 are employees of the Pontianak Rupbasan (State Confiscated Objects Storage House) and the rest are family members of correctional institution employees," Head of Public Affairs of West Kalimantan Regionl Police said.

The activity was carried out for 4 days, from June 29 to July 2, 2021.

The Head of Public Affairs of West Kalimantan Regional Police also said that Tuesday’s vaccination is for Pontianak Correctional Institution and Rupbasan employees and their families, then the next day was specifically for Pontianak Prison inmates.

There are 1,073 inmates in class II A Pontianak prisons. Up till now, there are 250 people will be vaccinated. The rest are still waiting for the next stage of vaccination.

"The inmates who are vaccinated are only those who are willing and in good health condition," the Head of Public Affairs of West Kalimantan Regional Police closed.
