Inspector General Eko Indra Heri was accompanied by the South Sumatra Regional Police and Resort Police's High Rank Executives and Palembang Regional Police Chief, Pol. Grand Commissioner Irvan Prawira inaugurated the Drug Rehabilitation Center Mosque and carried out Social Service (Baksos) at the Arrahman Foundation, Jakabaring, Palembang, Tuesday (08/24/21).
The South Sumatra Regional Police Chief handed over a package of basic necessities in the form of rice to people living in the area around the Palembang Arrahman Foundation.
"This is a form of motivation, appreciation and encouragement to the community in the Covid-19 condition, we are jointly working together to provide assistance to the community," explained Two Star General.
Pol. Inspector General Eko Indra Heri explained that the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic cannot be handled by one party or a group of people. Therefore, the Regional Police Chief invites all levels of society together to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
The former Assistant to the National Police Chief of Human Resources also gave his appreciation to the leadership of the foundation who had helped the Government in order to restore the mentality of the community from children to adults who were trapped in drug abuse.
"I thank those who have helped the community, the private sector, and the local government, the National Armed Forces who have collaborated in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic, both in social assistance activities or Medical Support Assistance. The system that we have built according to the instructions of the Minister of Home Affairs has really been carried out. I entrust them to continue to be enthusiastic about providing education to the public to comply with 3M and Health protocol so that the Covid pandemic will soon pass," concluded the Indonesian Military Academic graduate in 1988.
