Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Palembang. Chief of South Sumatera Regional Police, Police Inspector General, Eko Indra Heri S, released BKO Mobile Brigade Police personnel to handle forest and land fire.
During the personnel release, Chief of South Sumatera Regional Police accompanied by Deputy Chief of South Sumatera Regional Police, Police Brigadier General Rudi Setiawan and High-Rank Officers of South Sumatera Regional Police Police at the Pakri Football field, Friday 07/092021).
In his remarks, Chief of South Sumatera Regional Police said from 2019 experience when South Sumatera faced the biggest land and forest fire, Indonesia National Police together with Indonesia National Armed Forces and other related government institutions were able to handle land and forest fire.
"From this experience, the important task need to be undertaken is to educate public, that they can feel what we feel in handling forest and forest fires later," Chief of South Sumatera Regional Police explained.
“Currently we are hit by Covid-19 pandemic, that’s why besides educating the community about land and forest fire, we also educate the community about Covid-19 health protocol by applying 3M, washing hands with soap, social distancing and wearing a face mask,” Chief of South Sumatera Regional Police continued while motivating Mobile Brigade personnel who will handle land and forest fire.
Mobile Brigade’s principle is once a step is taken, then winning has to be achieved, do it well.
"Mobile Brigade is hope and people will be proud to see you, show people Mobile Brigade can be proud of. Show that you can be proud of. There should be no violations, particularly don’t do something harmful to the community," Chief of South Sumatra Regional Police said.
Chief of South Sumatera Regional Police hopes with the presence of the Mobile Brigade, will bring new nuances for the community. The community will be aware of the law on how to handle forest and land fire and also aware of dealing with Covid 19. Chief of Sout Sumatera Regional Police believes the task will be carried out well and it will be a success. Also, he expects Mobile Brigade members are always healthy and have strong faith as well as maintaining integrity as members of the Indonesia National Police.
