Inspector General Merdisyam together with Commander of Regional Military IV Hasanuddin, Major General of National Armed Forces Mochamad Syafei Kasno received 25 thousand basic food packages from the Chinese Entrepreneurs of South Sulawesi to be distributed to communities affected by the implementation of Community Activity Restriction Enforcement in the South Sulawesi region, Monday (08/30/21) in the black field Batua Makassar.
It is known, the total aid is 25 thousand basic food packages worth 2.5 billion rupiah and the aid in each package consists of rice, cooking oil, instant noodle sugar and tea.
The South Sulawesi Regional Police Chief expressed his gratitude for the trust given to the South Sulawesi Regional Police and the Hasanuddin XIV Military Command to distribute these basic food packages. He hopes that this assistance will benefit the people of South Sulawesi and could reduce the burden of their lives during this pandemic.
"Thank you very much to the Chinese community entrepreneurs for their willingness to cooperate with the National Armed Forces and National Police in the distribution of this social assistance, later we will distribute it to the people of South Sulawesi who are affected by Covid-19," explained the South Sulawesi Regional Police Chief.
This assistance is a manifestation of the trust and empathy of the Chinese community entrepreneurs to the National Armed Forces and National Police who have been synergizing in carrying out social activities including in handling Covid 19, this is a tangible form of active participation of all components of the nation in reducing the economic impact due to the implementation of Community Activity Restriction Enforcement in South Sulawesi.
When met during the activity, the Head of Public Relations of the South Sulawesi Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner E. Zulpan explained that the South Sulawesi Regional Police and the XIV Hasanuddin Military Command really appreciate and respond to the cooperation in distributing these basic necessities because the goal is a very noble mission.
"We hope that the assistance provided will be of benefit and ease the community a little, of course we will also continue to implement strict health protocols, start diligently washing hands, maintaining distance, wearing masks and we pray that this Covid-19 pandemic will soon disappear from the face of this earth." he explained.
