Riau Regional Police Deployed 220 Personnel and 60 Ambulances to Evacuate Self-Isolated Patients in Pekanbaru

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Pekanbaru. The Riau Regional Police deployed as many as 220 police personnel to guard 60 ambulance units that will pick up COVID-19 patients who are undergoing self-isolation (isoman).

The escort is carried out to facilitate the transportation of self-isolated patients from the patient's home to the hospital or isolation place provided by the government, explained the Riau Regional Police Chief, Pol. General Inspector. Agung Setia Imam Effendi, in Pekanbaru, Thursday (07/15/21).

Pol. Inspector General Agung Setia Imam Effendi said the escort of each ambulance unit was manned by 1 doctor, 2 health workers and drivers who were escorted by Traffic Director officers and Samapta Bhayangkara Directorate from Riau Regional Police.

The team of health workers will be escorted by members of the Riau Regional Police's Traffic Director and Riau Regional Police's Samapta Bhayangkara Directorate which picked up COVID-19 patients who are self-isolating to be taken to an independent integrated isolation place to get better health services.

"For now, Riau is tightening the implementation of Community Activity Restrictions, where currently most regions have implemented Micro Community Activity Restrictions," explained Two Star General.

The Riau Regional Police together with the COVID-19 Task Force will continue to maintain the spirit of the apparatus and all officers not to slack and what they are doing is always encouraged.
