Riau Islands Regional Police Mass Vaccination Targets 15 Thousand Batam Residents

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Batam. Simultaneous vaccination in conjunction with the 75th Bhayangkara Day in 2021 is targeting 1 million peoples a day. This vaccination is carried out in all regional police areas in Indonesia.


For the Riau Islands Regional Police, the target is 14,750 peoples. Head of Public Relations of the Riau Islands Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Harry Goldenhardt said that for the jurisdiction of the Riau Islands Regional Police and the National Police, it is targeted that 14,750 peoples will be vaccinated in 25 vaccination locations.


Apart from Tomenggung Abdul Jamal, Harry mentioned two other locations, namely Batam International University and Dewi Bahari Temple in the Baloi area.


"For the city of Batam, there are three vaccination locations, including the Sport Hall Temenggung Abdul Jamal with a target of 3,000 peoples. In these two places, the targets for vaccine participants are 1,500 and 3,500 peoples respectively," explained the Head of Public Relations of Riau Islands Regional Police



On this occasion, Riau Islands Governor Ansar Ahmad, Riau Islands Regional Police Chief Pol. General Inspector Aris Budiman and Regional Leadership Coordination Forum took part in a video conference with Indonesian President Joko Widodo. President Jokowi greeted every province in Indonesia regarding the implementation of vaccinations in their respective regions.


On that occasion, Riau Islands Regional Police Chief Aris Budiman said, today's vaccination was carried out with the National Armed Forces and the Governor and Regional Leadership Coordination Forum directly reviewed its implementation.


"For the outermost point, we can reach it using our patrol boats, including ships from the Indonesian Navy and assisted by the Regional Government. We name the program Nasi Kapau" namely Vaccination to Reach Islands," explained the Regional Police Chief.


From the review, the public's interest is very high to carry out vaccinations. As of this afternoon, 14,408 peoples have been vaccinated across the Riau Islands.

"If it continues, until the afternoon it can exceed 15,000 peoples," he concluded.
