Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Tanjung Pinang. Riau Islands Regional Police arrested DSH (36), who forged a Covid-19 antigen test statement using the letterhead and stamp of a health clinic in Batam.
"The perpetrator was an employee at the Batam branch of AMK Ltd., using modus operandi of making forged Covid-19 antigen test statement using the letterhead and stamp of a health clinic in Batam as the job application requirement", the Chief of Multimedia Subdivision of PR and Press Division of Riau Islands Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Surya Iswandar, in Batam on Monday (28/06/21).
DSH was working at the labour supplier company in Batam. The Covid-19 antigen test statement letter was used as a supporting document of the job applicants.
"The perpetrator has made 20 sheets of forged Covid-19 antigen test statement letters used to job applying since March to June 2021", the Middle Officer of the Riau Islands Regional Police said.
Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Surya Iswandar said the case was started from the public report received by the 3rd Subdirectorate Operational Personnel Team of the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of Riau Islands Regional Police. From the investigation, the team seized the allegedly forced Covid-19 antigen test statement letters using the letterhead and stamp of a health clinic, together with a supermarket employee who used said document.
Police seized the evidence, such as one laptop, two stamps from clinics and doctors, one printing machine, and four sheets of forged antigen test letters. As a result, the perpetrator is subjected to Article 263 paragraph 1 with the punishment of six years maximum in prison.
