Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Manado. The North Sulawesi Regional Police again held a mass vaccination in the context of preventing COVID-19. Vaccination was held for 2 days, starting 12-13 August 2021 at the Unsrat Auditorium, with a target of 5,000 doses of astrazeneka vaccine for stage 1 and stage 2.
The vaccination, entitled Vaccine Merdeka Sam Ratulangi, was held to celebrate the 76th Birthday of the Republic of Indonesia, involving as many as 20 Vaccination Teams or around 200 Health Workers from the Police, National Armed Forces and the Health Service.
"Vaccination is carried out as an effort so that people get herd immunity or group immunity. We continue to collaborate with the Regional Government and the Army to accelerate the handling of COVID-19," explained the North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief.
The North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief explained that since July, there has been an increase in the spread of COVID-19, therefore the North Sulawesi Regional Police and ranks are collaborating with the National Armed Forces and the Regional Government to continue to take preventive measures.
“All members of the National Police continue to take preventive measures. We continue to give appeals, carry out justice operations and continue to promote vaccination activities," explained the North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief.
The implementation of the Merdeka Sam Ratulangi Vaccination was also reviewed by the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum of North Sulawesi, including the Governor of North Sulawesi Olly Dondokambey, Military Regional Commander XIII/Merdeka Major General Wanti W. F. Mamahit, Chairman of North Sulawesi's Regional Representatives, as well as North Sulawesi Deputy Chief of Police, Inspector General Rudi Darmoko and High Rank Executives of North Sulawesi Regional Police.
