Police stated that the security operation for Christmas and New Year Eve at dozens of church in Indonesia went safely and conducively, which is part of Operation Lilin 2022.
“Thankfully, the operation security for Christmas at 41,792 security have been secured by 100,218 preventive task force that have been deployed to 1,868 security police,” says the Police Chief Assistan Operations, Inspector General Agung Setya Imam Effendi in his statement, quoted from pmjnews.com, Monday (12/26).
He continued that other than securing church, the Operation Lilin 2022 stated that they gathered the data that there is an increase in traffic going outside Jakarta for 17,6%, followed by traffic towards Jakarta for 6,3%.
“Since the first day of Operation Lilin 2022 listed that there are 459 traffic accidents. The accident mostly occured in East Java with 269 accidents,” says Inspector General Agung.
Moreover, Inspector General Agung says that with those many accidents, he implored the community to follow the instructions from the government, knowing that there is an extreme weather going on lately.
