Police Investigates Seven Alleged Intolerant People in Cianjur Evacuation Post

Tribratanews.polri.go.id -   The West Java Regional Police are currently investigating seven people who allegedly involved in removing stickers and label belonging to the church in their evacuation tent in Cianjur Regency, West Java.

Head of West Java Regional Police Public Relations, Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo said, "We have not identified any suspect yet, we will inform you later when the in-depth and development result have been completed," said the Head of Public Relations of the West Java Regional Police.

Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo said that his party was still developing the case. His party is also investigating the motives of those who removed the label bearing the church in the refugee camp.

“We have to deep dive in this case, what is their motives, that kind of things must be clear first and we are on it,” said Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo.

Previously, an 18-second video has gone viral, showing some people removing the label "Indonesian Gospel Reformed Church Charity Team" attached to the roof of a blue refugee tent.

Cianjur Police Chief AKBP Doni Hermawan explained that those people who removed the label are from unscrupulous members of community organizations (ormas). Even so, according to him, the social assistance was still received by the displaced people.
