Police Turns Back 300 Thousand Vehicles During Emergency PPKM in Java-Bali

Traffic Corps of Indonesia National Police mentioned drivers who do not comply with requirements during the implementation of Emergency PPKM (Community Activity Restriction) in Java-Bali will be turned around. The vehicles are intercepted at number of mobility insulation posts.

"There are around 300 thousand vehicles that we have turned around," Head of Operation Division of Traffic Security of Indonesia National Police, Police Grand Commissioner Rudy Antariksawan said through  webinar, Wednesday, July 7, 2021.

He mentioned the insulation posts spread across number of areas have reduced the density of community activities by sixty percent. There are no longer queue of vehicles at insulation post.

Police Grand Commissioner Rudy Antariksawan said mobility reduction is occured most in insulation post in Bogor, Depok, and Tangerang to Jakarta. Mobility reduction is also occured in other provinces in Java-Bali.  

"The ones headed to Jakarta is reducing. Including the areas in seven provinces. We’ve even taken action to stubborn office companies,"  Police Grand Commissioner Rudy Antariksawan mentioned.

He said police continues to evaluate the implemention of emergency PPKM. One of them is related to the pattern of check at insulation post which often causes crowds.

"We are getting better, people are more aware. The key is, all of us are aware of reducing mobility,"  Police Grand Commissioner Rudy Antariksawan said.
