Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police managed to apprehend two teenagers from Padang, West Sumatra, the perpetrators of the hacking of the Cabinet Secretariat (Setkab) website, both of whom were named suspects and are currently undergoing detention in Jakarta.
Head of the Public Information Section (Kabagpenum) of the Public Relations Division of National Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Ahmad Ramadhan, in a press conference at the Police Public Relations Division Building, Jakarta, Monday, said the two suspects, namely BS alias Zyy, aged 18 and MLA or Lutfifake, aged 17.
"We convey that we have arrested two perpetrators of the hacking of the Indonesian Secretariat's website which was carried out in the jurisdiction of the West Sumatra Regional Police," said Pol. Grand Commissioner Ahmed Ramadan.
The two perpetrators were arrested separately, the first perpetrator BS alias Zyy was arrested Thursday (08/05/21) in the Nanggalo area, West Sumatra. From the perpetrators confiscated evidence of one unit of laptop or portable computer and one unit of mobile phone.
The second perpetrator of MLA who is still a minor was arrested on Friday (07/06/21) at 01.00 PM at Pasar Baru Nagari, Dharmasraya Regency, Padang, West Sumatra.
"The evidence that was confiscated from the perpetrators was a 'laptop' and two cell phones," explained the Intermediate Officer of Public Relations Division of Regional Police.
Head of General Information Division of National Police Public Relations Division said that the suspect BS alias Zyy is currently being held at the Crime and Investigation Unit of National Police, while ML, who is still a minor, is being placed in the Child Protection Unit, Cipayung, East Jakarta.
Both were charged with Article 46 paragraph (1), (2), and (3) juchto Article 30 paragraph (1), (2), and (3), Article 48 paragraph (1) juchto Article 32 paragraph (1) and Pasap 49 juchto Article 33 of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions.
