Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Police remind and appeals to the public not to try forging Covid-19 antigen or PCR test results. If Police found out the transaction to the forging people, they could be charged with criminal law.
"Not only ordering for the positive test result. All people ordering to the suspect also charged with the criminal law", the Chief of the 3rd Unit of Mobile Investigation Subdirectorate of the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police, Police Commissioner Mugia Yarry Juanda, said when confirmed on Wednesday (14/07/21).
Previously, Police has arrested a couple that sells forged Covid-19 antigen and PCR test results. Between the orderers, there is one people asked for a positive result so the person could take sick leave.
"There was one person who ordered for a positive test. Usually, the order of the one for a positive result are the ones who do not want to work. The person usually orders the suspect as much as Rp175,000 to create a positive result. Therefore, this person has a reason not to work", the Chief of PR and Press Division of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus, at the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police Headquarter on Tuesday (13/07/2021).
Police Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus explained that both perpetrators have different roles. One suspect initialled NJ is offering fake test results on social media. Another suspect initialled NBP is printing the document.
"Usually, the employees are the ones who order. The modus is the same: the perpetrator offers the service through social media. Later, they will transact and negotiate the order. However, they only specialised on the Covid-19 test results", the Middle Officer of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police said.
Meanwhile, other sellers of fake Covid-19 test results are also arrested. They are initialled MI and NFA. NJ, NBP, MI, and NFA are offering the service through Facebook.
MI's role is marketing and looking for buyers through Facebook, including negotiating. NFA then made and printed the fake documents and receiving money transfer as the service fee of the documents such as Covid-19 swab test results, even National ID Card, and Driving License.
"For example, a driving license was sold for Rp300,000. National ID Card is Rp80,000, including other IDs, because NFA once worked in the printing business and own a printing machine, so the person knows stuff", the Chief of PR and Press Division of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police concludes.
