South Sumatra Police Lend Their Hands in Helping Cianjur Earthquake Refugees

Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Palembang  The South Sumatra Regional Police lend their hands to the earthquake victims in Cianjur, West Java. In their aids, they send five tons of rice, hundreds of boxes of instant noodles, blankets, and medicines.

The distribution of this provision is by land which will be deployed from Palembang Pakri Complex, Wednesday (11/23). The deployment will be cereminously send off by the South Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General Albertus Rachmad Wibowo.

Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Police, Commissioner Supriadi said the assistance provided by the South Sumatra Police was part of their concern for the people who are affected by earthquake.

"The assistance will be sent by trucks containing five tons of rice, hundreds of boxes of instant noodles, balnkets, and medicines. We will send this assistance by land with an estimation that it will reach Cianjur in 22 hours," explained the Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Police, Tuesday (11/22).

Cianjur Regency was rocked by an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 on Monday (11/21) afternoon. The earthquake caused hundreds of people died, hundreds more were also injured, and thousands of houses were either damaged severely or destroyed.
