Metro Jaya Police has mapped several points of potential vulnerability in the Greater Jakarta area. The potential vulnerabilities that occur during New Year's celebrations include disruption of community security and order, crimes, the surge in Covid-19, to natural disasters.

Commissioner Endra Zulpan emphasized that the potential for crowds and traffic jams could be caused by music concerts and community parades that flocked to the streets during the 2023 New Year's celebration. Furthermore, the potential for conflict between residents, which sometimes starts with gatherings involving alcohol, could also occurs.
"The potential for a surge in Covid-19 cases is of course related to crowds of people celebrating the New Year, as well as the potential for natural disasters such as floods or fires.
