Noken Community Development Unit and Chairman of Bhayangkari Gave Social Aid Packages to Community Figures of Jayawijaya

In commemorating the 69th anniversary of the Bhayangkari Movement Unit, on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at 13.00 local time, Noken Community Development Unit (Binmas Noken) and the Chairman of the Jayawijaya branch of Bhayangkari, Mrs Nuraeni Safei, gave social aid packages to people in the Wamena Sectoral Police. The event was attended by Chief of Jayawijaya Departmental Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Muh Safei and the Primary Officials of Jayawijaya Departmental Police.
The event was opened by the Chief of Community Development Unit of Jayawijaya Departmental Police (Jayawijaya Regional Coordinator of Binmas Noken), Police Commissioner Attendant Harbani Paruki. Then, the Chief of Jayawijaya Departmental Police gave his opening statement. "This afternoon, I, as the new Chief of Jayawijaya Departmental Police, want to be acquainted with people in here. I would like to be here to be acquainted with the community figures in this region so we could develop a partnership between the community and the Police".
In his opening statement, the Chief of Jayawijaya Departmental Police explained about the Bhayangkari Movement Unit Day (HKGB) of Jayawijaya. "In the context of HGKB, Bhayangkari of Jayawijaya would give some aids. Please do not look from its content, but look at our intention to help the people here. I hope that the community figures could help me maintain the situation in this region together to stay safe and conducive".
One of the community figures who attended the event, Mr Rev. Kanisius Siep, said that "It is quite safe here, but many people are drunk. I hope Police could eradicate liquor distribution here". Chief of Jayawijaya Departmental Police responded that alcoholic drink is the source of the problem and could cause criminal acts. Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Muh Safei hoped that people could provide information on liquor distillery so the Police could discover and arrest the perpetrators.
Secretary of Jibama Market, Mr Elimus Itlay, also deliver his gratitude and complaints of community security and order. "I thanked the Chief because you are willing to meet us. Jibama has the most problems, so I hope that the entry to Jibama could be guarded. I also asked for more personnel at Jibama Market due to our inadequate personnel".
Chief of Jayawijaya Departmental Police also responds to the deliverance. "In the future, you could form a youth organisation. Police would keep visiting the market when we patrol. We also asked your help to instruct people not to consume alcohol because it could cause drunkenness and disorder. The youth organisation then could be educated by the Chief of Sectoral Police.
The event was then closed by the hope of the Chief of Jayawijaya Departmental Police. "We hope people could help in eradicating alcoholic drinks. If necessary, subject the sellers to traditional law. Let's maintain the community security and order in the jurisdiction of Wamena City Sectoral Police so that the situation could stay safe and conducive". The event then continued to the distribution of social aid packages.
