On the first day of 2023, the National Police (Polri) Traffic Corps (Korlantas) monitors the return flow of holidays in Jakarta-Cikampek Toll road. The corps deploy their personnel in several toll gates from Kalikangkung to Cipali, Sunday (1/1).

“From our monitoring, the traffic flow from the east or south still went as usual. This means that situation is still under control because the vehicle volume is till under 5,000,” says Korlantas Law Enforcement Directorate, Brigadier General Aan Suhanan at rest area KM 57 Jakarta-Cikampek Toll, Sunday (1/1).

He then remarks that the revocation of health restrictions played quite role in increasing traffic volume, although not that significant, due to the congestions only happened small roads. However, he says that there are several locations that needs to be paid more attention, such as pantura arterial road and other five locations due to bridge reconstruction. Meanwhile, in toll road, there are several rest areas and traffic crossings causing a bottle neck.

“After this operation, we will have a general evaluation. But until now, we actually have evaluated our operation daily for traffic engineering and tourist destination security measures,” concluded Brigadier General Aan Suhanan.
