"I urge all people to stay calm and conducive, don't join illegal irresponsible groups," he stated, Friday (2/24/23).
He asked the whole community to join in creating a safe and conducive Wamena. In addition, harmony between religions, cultures, and ethnic groups must be maintained.
He emphasized that traditional leaders, the government, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI)-Indonesian National Police (Polri) would consult together to think of a solution. This is because the arson case originated from information that had not been confirmed as accurate and resulted in casualties and injuries.
"Later we will try to find a solution," he said.
