Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Banyuwangi.   East Java Police Chief Inspector General Toni Harmanto directly monitored security activities in the Bali Strait, which connects Java and Bali, Tuesday (15/11). Apart from that, he also inspected the electricity substations to ensure that the electricity supply to Bali is safe.

Inspector General Toni Harmanto directly checked the passengers and vehicles on board to the ferry, and emphasized that his staff had come to ensure security at the Ketapang Port was running smoothly.

"Obviously this area becomes part of our attention. That's why we are reviewing it directly to make sure that security operation is running smoothly," explained the Police Chief quoted from detik.com, Tuesday (11/15).

Even though security was tightened, Inspector General Toni Harmanto ensured that there would not be any disruption to ferry services for people crossing to Bali. This is proven by the number of passengers at Ketapang port.

"This means that this security activity does not hinder the port service to the community for going to Bali. And we will continue to implement this until the activities in Bali are completely completed," said the Regional Police Chief.

Previously, he also supervised the electricity substation in Banyuwangi. The electricity substation also distributes electricity in Bali, and it is hoped that the electricity supply during the G20 Summit activities in Bali will running safe and smoothly.

"We have sweep the points that need to be monitored against a number of potential obstructions to the electricity supply. One of them are kites. Because the impact of this kites can shock the electric current. So the lights will go out for a while or just flicker and then turn on again," explained the police chief.
