Searching and evacuating the victims in Cianjur continues to be carried out by a joint team of the National Police, the TNI, volunteers, and other relevant agencies in Cugeneng Village, Cianjur on Thursday (1/12).
To help the search the victims buried under the rubble, the joint team also involved K9 Bloodhounds, dogs trained to sniff and search. To maintain their best performance, the police give their best attention to their bloodhounds.
In his statement on Thursday (1/12) Head of Public Relations of the West Java Regional Police, Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo said that the K9 dog was given special attention starting from what kinds of food they eat, and they also have been given various vitamins and nutrition.
"Not only personnel in the field that we have to take care of, but supporting aspects such as K9 bloodhonds are also given the same special attention," he explained.
By providing good food and nutrition to the K9 bloodhounds, it is hoped that they will be able to perform well when on duty to search for bodies buried in the ground with their keen sense of smell.
