Joint Forces of Armed Force-Police Hunt Armed Criminal Group who Shot Dead Four Residents of Yahukimo Papua

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Joint forces of Police and Armed Forces are now hunting Armed Criminal Group (KKB) led by Tendius Gwijangge, a.k.a. Tendinus Murib, who shot and took hostage residents of Bingky village, Yahukimo Regency, Papua. During the incident, four residents are dead.

"Armed Forces-Police is now chasing and will never stay still regarding the incident", Chief of PR and Press Division of Indonesian National Police, Inspector General Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono, stated on Friday (25/6/2021).

From January to June 2021, there had been security disturbances caused by KKB, which left 18 people dead from Armed Forces-Police and civilians. In addition, 14 others are injured due to the attack from the separatist group.

"We will take tougher measures towards the group", the two-star general said.

Previously, there were shootings and hostages against civilians, who were builders, led by KKB in Bingky village, Yahukimo Regency, Papua. During the incident, three people dead.

Chief of PR and Press Division of Papua Regional Police, Grand Commissioner Ahmad Musthofa Kamal, stated that the incident happened on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at 11.05 Eastern Indonesian Time.

"Perpetrators are suspected from the KKB led by Tendius Gwijangge, a.k.a. Tendinus Murib", the Chief of PR and Press Division of Papua Regional Police concluded on Friday (25/6/2021).
