Jayapura City Departmental Police – To create a safe and conducive situation in the water body area, the Water Police Corps of Jayapura City Departmental Police routinely patrols to address public security and order appeals on Tuesday (27/7).

The water patrol was led by Chief of Operational Training Affairs of Water Police Corps of Jayapura City Departmental Police, Police Inspector 1st Class Demmaloga with two personnel riding the Long Boat 014 and down the water of Hamadi and Enggros Beaches and Youtefa Bay.

Chief of Water Police Corps of Jayapura City Departmental Police, Police Commissioner Attendant Francis J. Wardjukur, said that the patrol anticipates disturbance on public safety and order in the waters.

"When patrolling, he also informs public security and order messages to people so that they are careful and prioritises safety", he said.

Police Commissioner Attendant Francis said that the fishermens also appealed not to use bombs when fishing because it could destroy underwater ecosystems such as coral reefs.

Besides delivering public security and order messages, Police also appeals to the public to adhere to Health Protocols due to high case numbers in Jayapura city.
