Jambi Regional Police Distributes 5,700 Basic Necessities Packages to People Affected by Covid-19

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jambi. Personnel of Jambi Regional Police held a simultaneous social service event for people affected by the PPKM (Community Activity Restrictions Enforcement).

The event was inaugurated by Chief of Jambi Regional Police, Police Inspector General A. Rachmad Wibowo, at the Courtyard of Command Headquarter of Mobile Brigade Unit of Jambi Regional Police on Tuesday (27/07/21).

During the inauguration ceremony, Jambi Regional Police involves Community Police and Armed Forces Unit, Municipal Police, online motor-taxi drivers, and students representatives to help the basic necessities aid distribution to people affected by PPKM.

Police Inspector General A. Rachmad Wibowo explained that, during this inauguration, Jambi Regional Police would distribute 5,700 basic necessities packages. Two thousand of them would be distributed to ten regencies/cities outside Jambi city.

"For Muarojambi and Batanghari Regency, considering there are many self-isolating residents, we will give them more aids. One thousand seven hundred packages would be distributed in Jambi city", the two-star general explained.

Chief of Jambi Regional Police asks the distribution officers to obey Health Protocols to avoid Covid-19 transmission.

"Do not let any of us exposed by the Covid. We have to avoid them as best as we can", the graduate of 1993 Class of Armed Forces Academy said.

Besides, the former Director of Cyber Criminal Act of Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police also appeals to the distribution officers to ask for self-isolating to be isolated at the hospital.

"In Jambi city, we still have spare beds. The Mayor also prepares its facilities, either health workers or the medicines", Police Inspector General A. Rachmad Wibowo said.

The two-star general said that in Jambi city, mainly in Kota Baru, Alam Barajo, and Pall Merah districts, there are still many self-isolating people.

"To the personnel, distribute this aid to the people affected by Covid-19", he appeals.

Chief of Jambi Regional Police also thanks to the Jambi Regional Police personnel and the donors who have help succeeded in this activity.

"In total, we have distributed 2,292 basic necessity packages. Either it is beneficial, wasteful, or ridiculed by people, our intention is helping each other", Chief of Jambi Regional Police concluded.
