Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Timika. The joint investigators of Mimika Departmental Police and Nemangkawi Task Force is still investigating the recent finding of 600 5.56 millimetres ammunitions planned to be distributed for the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Timika.
Chief of Mimika Departmental Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant IGG Era Adhinata, said that the personnel had arrested four people involved in the ammunition trading syndicate.
"We have arrested four people and still coordinating to know the source of ammunition. We are still investigating on it", Chief of Mimika Departmental Police said on Wednesday (6/10/21).
Three of four suspects were arrested by Nemangkawi Task Force in Timika on Thursday, September 30, 2021. One of the perpetrators, initialled AB, was arrested at their house at Pendidikan Jalur 7 street, Timika.
From AB, Police seized 255 5.56 mm ammunitions and one motorcycle without a license plate.
To the personnel, AB admitted that he once sold the 350 ammunitions to someone who initialled KG through an intermediary initialled BS.
In following up AB's statements, the Nemangkawi Task Force personnel then captured BS at Sam Ratulangi street of Timika and also caught KG at Hasanuddin street, Timika.
KG admitted that ammunitions they bought from AB were stored in their pig farm at Hasanudin street.
The Nemangkawi Task Force then brought KG to their pig farm at Hasanudin street and found 349 5.56 mm ammunition.
Besides that, the Task Force also seized one Daihatsu Terios car with the license plate of PA 1689 MJ. In total, 604 ammunitions have been seized by Nemangkawi Task Force in various places in Timika.
KG stated that hundreds of ammunitions were planned to be sold to the leader of the KKB of Nduga, Egianus Kogoya.
