Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Total of 3.6 tons of methamphetamine, resulted of smuggling case of Middle East and Malaysia Networks, were destroyed.
Chief of Crime Investigation Agency of Indonesia National Police, Commissioner General Agus Andrianto, explained the case disclosure is the result of the synergy of Indonesia National Police, National Anti-Narcotics Agency (BNN), Customs and Excise, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, as well as other relevant ministries and institutions.
"I hope we can continue to carry out this activity, not only to prevent and overcome the illicit trafficking of narcotics throughout Indonesia, but also to save the nation's generation from the dangers of narcotics abuse," Chief of Crime Investigation Agency of Indonesia National Police explained, Tuesday (07/13/2021).
Director of Drug Crime of Crime Investigation Agency, Police Brigadier General Krisno Halomoan Siregar, added the amount of 3.6 tons of crystal methamphetamine was confiscated from 23 drug suspects. In detail, 1.3 tons of crystal methamphetamine were confiscated from Middle East network, Aceh-Jakarta-Makassar syndicate with 7 suspects handled by Drug Crime Directorate of Crime Investigation Agency of Indonesia National Police's team.
Then, the case of meth weighing 1.2 tons from Middle East network was confiscated from 10 suspects from Aceh-Jakarta syndicate by e Red and White Task Force Team. In addition, 1,129 tons of methfrom Malaysia network was confiscated from 6 suspects in Aceh-Jakarta syndicate by Drug Crime Directorate of Metro Jaya Regional police and the Central Jakarta Metro Resort Police.
"The destruction of this type of meth was carried out ceremonially at PTIK field and then proceeded to Kelapa Dua Mobile Brigade Corps Hospital in Depok and Gatot Subroto Army Hospital in Jakarta," Director of Drug Crime of Crime Investigation Agency explained.
