Hundreds of families on the banks of the Simprug Golf 2 Neighborhood 10/08 South Grogol, South Jakarta, where the majority of the residents are casual workers, received social assistance in the form of basic necessities from the National Police. Chairman of Sub-Directorate of Fasmat SBST Ditregident, National Police Traffic Corps', Pol. Grand Commissioner I Made Kusuma Jaya, said this social service activity is one of the series of Bhayangkara's 75th Anniversary. And the form of the Police's concern for the people who are currently affected by Covid-19.
"Our presence this morning is also to convince the public that the state is present in this matter represented by the Indonesian National Police, who cares about the difficulties faced by the community due to the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic," explained the Chairman of Sub-Directorate of Fasmat SBST.
The Chairman of Sub-Directorate for Fasmat SBST said that this activity was also intended to strengthen the relationship between the police and the community. "We believe that the police are not capable of working alone, both in maintaining security and order, enforcing the law, providing protection and providing services to people who cannot afford it alone, but must cooperate with the community," he said.
Meanwhile, Sarwono as the Head of Neighborhood Simprug Golf 2 RT 10/08, thanked National Police for providing social assistance to its citizens.
"I am a representative from RT10 RW 08, thanking you thousands for the assistance from the police at the National Police Headquarter, namely in the context of the Bhayangkara Anniversary," said Sarwono.
On the same occasion, one of the residents who received the assistance, namely Rusmiati, said that the social assistance in the form of basic necessities was very useful and helped her for her daily life in the midst of a pandemic.
"Very helpful, thank you to the Police," said Rusmiati.
The Bem Nusantara Center Coordinator, Dimas Prayoga, who participated with the National Police in distributing basic necessities to residents, hoped that this assistance could help and ease the burden on the people affected by Covid 19
"Hopefully it could help, ease the people here to be able to struggle with Covid-19 which also has an impact on the economy of the people around here," explained Dimas.
