Helping Communities Affected by Community Activity Restrictions, North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief Gives 300 Food Packages to Workers at Manado Port

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Manado. North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Nana Sudjana leads in the context of social service activities in the Manado Harbor area, Monday (08/09/21).

This activity was carried out in the form of providing assistance with 300 free basic food packages for loading and unloading workers (TKBM). It began with the symbolic handing over of aid by the North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief to labor representatives.

The event was also attended by Main Base of the Indonesian Navy V / VIII Manado, Chairman of Central Maritime Zone - Indonesian Marine Security Agency, representatives of Military Regional Command 131/Santiago, Chair of the North Sulawesi Indonesian Religious Leader, and the North Sulawesi's Student Executive of Regional Coordinator.

"Thanks to the Regional Police Chief, we are grateful for the assistance and this is very useful, especially in the midst of a pandemic," explained the Two-Star General.

Pol. General Inspector Nana Sudjana explained that this assistance was given to the community, especially those affected by the economy due to the pandemic and Community Activity Restrictions Level 3 and 4, one of laborers are at the Manado Port.

“Because of the dozens of ships, only about 5 or 6 ships are operating every day. Currently for passengers was greatly reduced far from before. Of course, this has a huge impact on the income of the port workers,” said the Indonesian Military Academy graduate in 1988.

On this occasion, the former Indonesian National Police Chief Koorsahli also invited the public to comply with health protocols in order to suppress the spread of the corona virus.

"The community must be disciplined in health protocols. Namely by wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility. Then what is no less important is vaccination,” concluded the Pol. General Inspector Nana Sudjana.
