Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Surabaya. Head of Security Maintenance Agency of Indonesia National Police, Police Commissioner General Arief Sulistyanto monitored Emergency PPKM insulation post at Waru roundabout on the border between Sidoarjo and Surabaya, Sunday (07/04/21).
Monitoring was carried out to ensure the effectiveness of insulation for outsiders who want to enter Surabaya area.
"We want to know directly the implementation of Emergency PPKM in East Java region, especially Surabaya. This insultion aims to reduce community mobility. We want to know the actual condition of how Aman Nusa II Operation is implemented and the implementation of emergency PPKM the East Java region," Head of Aman Nusa II Operation explained.
Head of Security Maintenance Agency of Indonesia National Police explained the Emergency PPKM policy carried out by the government was not intended to create any difficulties, but it is to protect the public from the spread of Covid-19.
"It's not the insulation, but the main thing is how people are aware that they don't need to leave the house. That’s why we carry out the operation this way. So the insulation, movement restrictions, interaction restrictions are not aimed to make people suffered, but to keep them from being exposed to Covid- 19. Because once somebody gets infected, it can be transmitted to other people, " the Three Star General said.
Police Commissioner General Arief Sulistyanto said this policy would not work without community support. For this reason, Arief asked the public to be more aware and comply with health protocols.
"Then for the activities carried out by detection task force, community guidance task force, are going well Then the most important thing is how to make people aware, obey the health protocols," the former Head of Education and Training Institution of Indonesia National Police explained.
Head of Security Maintenance Agency of Indonesia National Police hopes the Emergency PPKM policy can reduce Covid-19 transmissions in Indonesia.
"What we hope is that they know, they are aware that Covid-19 threatens the safety of a person's life. Covid-19 doesn’t see our position, our social status, our rank, this is what needs to be made aware of. Many victims have been clearly buried, treated in hospitals. Let's reduce it. If we really don’t need to go outside, then we don’t have to wander around, go out of the house. If we can buy online, buy online," the 1987 graduate of Indonesian Armed Forces Academy.
