Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police Prepares Tight Security Ahead of Premier League 1 Match at Bung Karno Stadium

This hearing was received directly by the Deputy Chief of Metro. Regional Police, Brigadier General Pol. Hendro Pandowo at the Promoter Building, Metro. Regional Police Headquarter, Wednesday (08/25/21)


"We received an audience from Indonesian Football Association led by Director of Operations, Inspector General Sujarno accompanied by Head of Operation Bureau and Director of Intelligence of Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police," explained Brigadier General Pol. Hendro Pandowo.

One of the discussions in this hearing was the agenda for the inaugural League 1 match. This match is known to be between Bali United and Persik Kediri which will take place at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (GBK), Jakarta on August 27 2021.

"The agenda discusses the inaugural League 1 match which will take place on August 27 at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium," said One Star Geeneral.

Because the location of the match is in Jakarta, security and order are the responsibility of the Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police, Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police will be ready to closely guard the match in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"With the health protocol, the Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police is ready to secure the inaugural League 1 match," said the Deputy Chief of the Metro. Regional Police.

It is known, League 1 and 2 will be held again during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is after the National Police again gave permission for a football competition in Indonesia to be held again as a result of a joint decision with a number of parties.

This permit was granted after the National Police conducted an evaluation and coordination with various parties. However, the National Police Chief still emphasised the health protocol in the implementation of the competition.
