The Indonesian Medical Doctors Association (IDI) administrators of Gorontalo Province and the Gorontalo Regional Police agreed to accelerate vaccination in this region. The two institutions conveyed their commitment when holding a gathering at the Gorontalo Regional Police Precision Lobby.
Present at the event were the Gorontalo Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector-General Akhmad Wiyagus, the leading officials and the Chairperson of IDI Gorontalo Province, Irianto Dunda, and the management.
The Chairperson of IDI Gorontalo Province said the friendship and audience with the Gorontalo Regional Police were carried out in commemoration of the 71st IDI Anniversary. He said the theme carried in the commemoration of the IDI Anniversary was 'Acceleration of Vaccination and Social Service for the Gorontalo Region. To accelerate vaccination in Gorontalo Province, said Irianto, his staff has made maximum preparations. In this activity, he added, IDI will collaborate with several agencies such as local governments, the National Armed Forces, and the National Police.
"In filling the IDI Anniversary activities, one of them is the acceleration of vaccination in Gorontalo Province. To accelerate vaccination, we must work together and collaborate. We believe that the acceleration of vaccination can be realized in synergy," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Gorontalo Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector-General Akhmad Wiyagus said that his staff is ready to synergize with IDI in the accelerated vaccination program. In addition to accelerating vaccination, he said, his staff is also ready to educate the public about the importance of the Covid-19 vaccine. To support the acceleration of vaccination, continued Wiyagus, the Gorontalo Regional Police prepared a team of doctors and health workers (nakes). Not only that, he added, personnel in all Resort Police in the Gorontalo Regional Police are also ready to be deployed to help accelerate vaccination.
"All ranks of the Gorontalo Regional Police are ready to accelerate vaccination and educate the public about the importance of the Covid-19 vaccine," he concluded.
