Tribratanews.polri.go.id-Gorontalo. Gorontalo Regional Police distributed 1,200 tons of rice in the effort to provide support to the community affected by the implementation of Micro PPKM (Community Activity Restriction) (07/17/21).
The assistance is an aid program from the Indonesia Ministry of Social Affairs distributed to Regional Police.
In accordance with Chief of Indonesia National Police, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the distribution acceleration of social assistance is the government's effort for the community's welfare during the implementation of Emergency PPKM. Because the policy is aimed to save people from the danger of coronavirus.
Chief of Indonesia National Police emphasized social assistance has to be immediately distributed. If run out of stock, immediately report and coordinate to get another stock.
"So I don't want to hear if there is the empty stock of social assistance in a region," Chief of Indonesia National Police explained.
Meanwhile, Chief of Gorontalo Regional Police, Police Inspector General Akhmad Wiyagus, said the target of beneficiaries this time is people under the category PKM-PKH [social assistance for under-privileged family] and BST [fund cash aid] who affected by PPKM in Gorontalo Province.
Chief of Gorontalo Regional Police explained total aid distributed was 1,200 tons of rice, and each PKM-PKH received 1,200 kg of rice.
"This is the manifestation of our government concern to the community," he explained.
